Ever wonder how authors manage the huge volume of writing that eventually becomes a book?
Good! On today’s episode, I’m talking with my friend Andrew Fiebert about that exact topic. The reason for that is… I finished my book!
That’s right – it’s done. The book is called and it’s around 27,000 words – more than 100 pages.
Also, it’s free. You can grab a copy for yourself right here and start learning how to defeat procrastination, study better, pay attention in class, read textbooks efficiently, and more. I’m excited to hear what you think.
I’m talking to Andrew in particular on this episode because he’s the author of a 20,000 word book. Andrew is the founder of Listen, Money Matters – a podcast/blog that I’ve been recommending for a long time – and he also wrote a book called which is all about how to use the personal finance tracker Mint.com.
So Andrew has experience as an author, but there’s another reason I’m talking to him…
I’m the new co-host of Listen, Money Matters.
Boom. Two huge announcements in one day. Yes, I am in fact pretty exhausted right now – but also excited.
Here’s a quick rundown of the details: Matt, Andrew’s original co-host, has decided to focus on other projects he’s passionate about. As one of the show’s biggest fans, I offered to take his place – and Andrew decided that wouldn’t be terrible of an idea.
So, in addition to everything you get here on College Info Geek, you’ll also get three episodes of personal finance goodness every week. We’ll be putting out new episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and I’m pumped to dig deeper into money topics, interview awesome guests, and generally have a good time. Listen to our first episode for more details!
To be clear, I’m not reducing any of my work here at CIG. You’ll still be getting a podcast episode, article, and video every week, and I’m also tuning my productivity systems so I can offer other cool stuff in 2015. You’ll just have to stick around to see what that is 😉

Wondering where the Resources of the Week segment is? I’ve decided to use the 80/20 principle to enable myself to focus my attention completely on the things that matter, so I’ve trimmed it – but worry not, because you can find all sorts of great tools at my Resources page.
